Irish Tech Startups: A Bright Future

Opportunity for Irish Tech Startups

Regardless of the current economic doom and gloom Ireland is evolving into one of Europe’s largest tech hubs. There are flourishing communities with an increasing amount of Irish Tech Startups and co-working spaces / accelerators popping up throughout the country. International tech events such as Startup Weekend, Web Summit, amongst others are attracting the focus of international tech enthusiasts, creators, innovators, entrepreneurs and investors to Ireland and Irish Tech Startups.

Barrow Street: Google, Dogpatch Labs and more

Dublin is quickly becoming a vibrant technology metropolis hosting an increasing number of Irish Tech Startups and larger tech companies. We are happy to be a resident one of Irelands most innovative co-working spaces: Dogpatch Labs. Dogpatch Labs is situated on Barrow St. a few doors up from Google HQ in Dublin’s “Silicon Dock”, where it’s all happening! (Hear about the evolution of Barrow St. in this RTE Radio 1 podcast, and listen out for Alex’s music genre recommendation for the residents of the area!)

Being a resident in Dublin’s “Silicon Dock” we have met many interesting entrepreneurs and it’s great to be working alongside innovative and inspiring Irish Tech Startups such as RiffstationNews WhipFluid and much more!

Irish Tech Startups

A growing tech and start-up ecosystem

There is a lot more potential for Irish Tech Startups to flourish in here. This is evident as Dublin has become host to some of the biggest names in the tech industry such as Google, Facebook and  Twitter to name a few. As you can see from the Enterprise Ireland video below it’s a great time to be a part of a startup within Ireland’s growing Tech Industry:

Endless networking opportunities

Whatever you’re interested in, there are multiple opportunities to meet other start-ups in Dublin. As a part of this bustling tech community, we’ve been busy attending Irish tech events such as Irish Music Tech (hosted by Enterprise Ireland), Dublin BetaMusic Tech Fest (hosted by Ravensbourne College, London) and more. On top of all this we’ve also recently released our music discovery app seevl for Deezer on Android! As you can see it’s an exciting and productive time for us, and this is only the beginning!

Our generation

Launching a startup in Dublin today is probably as exciting as it was to starting a band in London during the 60’s when artists like Small Faces and the Who were just developing. Watch this space!
